Job Description

We are partnering with a multidisciplinary firm seeking a Legal Assistant to support their team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at multitasking to maintain smooth office operations. This is a great contract role that offers a part-time working schedule, and we are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage ongoing litigation cases, ensuring accurate documentation and case status updates.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to gather necessary information, prepare case files, and provide updates.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage all case-related materials.
  • Prepare and maintain hyperlinked indices, witness notebooks for witness prep sessions.
  • Organize, mark, and maintain exhibits and coordinate integration of exhibit indexes with case database.
  • Coordinate with internal resources and outside vendor services per firm's rules and guidelines.
  • Conduct factual/legal research compiling results in an organized manner.
  • Draft correspondence, basic pleadings, notices, and motions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study or combination of related experience and education.
  • 2-3 years of IP (Intellectual Property) litigation legal assistance experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency and understanding of a litigation lifecycle, key documents especially in the area of patent litigation.
